The Independent Mind
•Today I will question, for truth is my aim,
No query too vast, no riddle too tame.
The mind, my great gift, a beacon to roam,
Seeks wisdom’s bright flame to guide my soul home.
What stirs in the stars? Why rivers do bend?
Each question a spark, each answer a friend.
I’ll cast wide my thoughts, like seeds on the wind,
For knowledge is power, and seeking’s my hymn.
•Wherever truth hides, I’ll hunt without fear,
In pages, in voices, in whispers I hear.
No corner too distant, no realm too obscure,
The world is my map, its secrets my lure.
Through reason’s clear lens, I’ll probe and I’ll strive,
In markets, in mountains, where answers abide.
Each fact I uncover, each truth I unfold,
Builds strength in my spirit, more precious than gold.
•I’ll persist in my quest, my mind ever free,
To ask and to seek what the truth bids me see.
No dogma shall bind me, no shadow confine,
For questions ignite the soul’s sacred design.
This day I will search, with courage and might,
Each question a step toward wisdom’s pure light.
My mind is my compass, my will is my guide,
In the hunt for truth, I’ll forever abide.
